4 Different Ways to Get Surround Sound in Your Home

!±8± 4 Different Ways to Get Surround Sound in Your Home

1). The Soundbar
This is probably the easiest and fastest way to get a surround sound system in your home-ish. Why do I say surround sound-ish? Now that is not a solid bar actually have a side or rear speakers, to surround him-ish. While some units like the Yamaha DSP-serious attempt to create the sound of additional speakers, can not entirely convincing. Other units, like the B & W panorama are designed to provide very good audio quality, but in reality have only a left- Center - right kind of configuration, there is no real attempt made it sound side or rear speakers. You may have to do most of these types of solutions or a subwoofer output, so you can add bass and get a fuller sound. These types of devices are designed for situations where the additional rear or side or very undesirable or impossible. A soundbar sound much better than inside the TV and give you more volume, but it is certainly not trueSurround sound system.

2) The Home-Theater-In-A-Box
The HTIB is a step to the sound-bar approach, as is usually included on the side or rear speakers. It 'a great, but included in this set. Most HTIB systems are really designed to be very inexpensive or, ultimately, be given away with TV. What does that actually mean? This means that even if there are more speakers in a HTIB, the quality of speakers and electronics in general, ratherPoor, and in taking the time to lay the cable on the back of the room and still end up with a rather disappointing result. In fact I would go as far to say that normally I would probably recommend a good sound on a typical HTIB bars. Yes, I'm sure there are some good prices are some HTIB systems ... But if you think that this is the case, read on.

3). A receiver-based home theater system
Ok, now it's interesting. Beginning at this pointto watch a couple of good things. Please note that a system to an A / V receiver and speakers of questions that could easily sell the consultant on the basis of $ 649.00 or so ... and that includes products from companies such as Klipsch and Yamaha. This is not just about money. In fact, you can use the same or less that you spend here in a sound bar, or HTIB. The big advantages here are a few things, as always, to the speakers that you like the sound, the speakers are made by manufacturers to collect. The collection has an A / V receiver that features you want or need for your home. Do not just buy everything from a hand ... Believe it or not, most companies do not do everything right. Big-recipient companies are rarely good speaker companies, producers of TV shows should not seek to produce and sell to all the speakers ... etc., etc. You can see here we do the product a-la carte. You still have to take what's in the box, you get to decide what to value and with our helpDesign of the system you want. I also get to say that dollar for dollar, this approach will give the best sound for your money. These systems are also easy to update and additional components that are not a lot of HTIB systems. So if you are looking for the best bang for the buck, and you can use cables to the sides and / or rear speakers perspective, this is a better way to go.

4). A system based Separates
This is the Holy Grail of A / V Here we have a choicePreamplifier processor, a separate amplifier or amplifiers and speakers and subwoofer make it really fits into our room. This type of system has the best sound and picture, the flexibility and extensibility discussed with all types. Here we will see brands such as B & W, Klipsch, Snell Acoustics speakers and air ... not to mention all of the above companies subwoofer, but also by Velodyne and JL Audio ... Rotel, Classe, McIntosh, Marantz andElectronics Integrate ... and more than likely an RTI Control Home Theater Master remote to all of them easy to use. This is also the most expensive of the four approaches, but if the final image and sound quality is your goal this is the place to be. There is no need for us to ask the consultants also have a wide range of products of lead in that category, and the people around you what are the differences and choose the system that will fully satisfy your desire to say.

Hopefully soonprimer on the 4 main approaches to A/V System nirvana is helpful. Of course we are always happy to answer questions and play equipment for you at the shop. So come on in, get a demonstration of whichever products you are interested in and then go home set it all up and enjoy, or have us do the install and then enjoy.

Choosing the right technology

Plasma and LCD TVs look the same, but they are not. Some features or options do not differ much, but these are the main differences:

Size

If you are looking for a bigger TV Arfe to go for a plasma. Plasma TVs are the current size champions, particularly when comparing TVs that consumers can easily buy. LCD size to achieve, with their technology development, however, and plasmas in the near future can be overcome. This can beDifficulty in producing glass large enough for the biggest plasma.

Burn-in

With the latest plasma technology, this is less a problem than in the past. The Pixel Orbitor, for example, is a method to reduce the consumption used by manufacturers of plasma. It requires no additional programming by the end user as some older burn-in prevention techniques have.
Note: If you plan to use plasma for gaming, some games with 'dashboards' may still cause some permanent burn-in. If you areto switch to TV only for viewing for an LCD. Plasma TVs are more likely to get burned in pixels.

More

- LCD TVs are far less fragile than plasma. This is also an advantage if the TV must be shipped or moved to another location.

- LCD TVs are much easier to install than plasma TVs.

- LCD TVs have a better performance at high altitude.
